Children's Ministry Frequently Asked Questions
Following is a list of questions that are typically asked. This will hopefully give you a better idea of what you and your child can expect when you visit CHBC. If you have any other questions, feel free to contact us and we will be happy to go into further detail.
CHBC has several entrances. Where is the best access with parking for Children’s Ministry and first time guests?
The best entrance for visitors is Door C (which is located behind the church on the left hand side of the playground). Directly through this door is the Welcome Center. Hosts will gladly direct you to the Preschool and Children’s areas which are both located in the vicinity of the Welcome Center.
When can I check my child in?
We ask our teachers to be in their classrooms at least 15 minutes before a program begins (either on Sunday or Wednesday). If your child arrives before the classroom teacher, we ask that one parent remain with the child until one of our ministry partners arrives.
How old does my child have to be to participate in Children’s Ministry?
On Sunday mornings, we offer classes for all kids – babies through the 5th grade. If your child is preschool age or younger, they will go to the Preschool area. If your child is grade K-5, they will upstairs to Children’s area located on the 2nd floor.
What programs are available to my child?
On Sunday mornings, we provide the following programs to children:
9:30 am - Life Bible Studies classes are available for babies through 5th grade
11 am - Childcare for babies to pre-K
During the 11 am, kids grades K-4 are invited to Kids Church. Kids dismiss during the service (usually after the worship music) and meet in room 207 for the remainder of the service. During this time, there is a Bible story or verse with application, craft and snack. Parents are asked to pick up their children at the end of the service.
On Wednesday evenings, we provide the following programs to children:
How do I know my child is safe?
Child safety is taken very seriously at CHBC. All volunteers in the Children’s ministry go through background checks. The Preschool area is also a secured facility which requires a pass for entrance.
