Phased Reopening Of Worship Services & Buildings

Dr. Burton and the clergy/staff are working with church leaders to reopen the buildings and the services.  Updates with the schedule will be posted as guidance and health information from our Governor and our denomination evolves.  In the meantime, please refer to the guidelines issued for churches at TN.Gov and/or at Lifeway.com. These will help formulate our phased reopening schedule.

WORSHIP SERVICE

We are excited to once again be able to worship, in person, with each other on Sundays at 10am.  It has been wonderful to see each other, to worship, sing praises, and pray together.

A very good situation to have is we are overflowing our space but mindful that we want to keep the health and safety guidelines in place to help everyone that attends the service to have a safe worship experience.

We have opened the Balcony but that too, with the new seating guidelines, is filling up.

We will open the Fellowship Hall for overflow seating.  The live service will be streamed onto the big screen. We will begin this additional worship opportunity this week but we do ask your patience as we await the arrival of new equipment that will allow us to vastly improve the quality of the streaming experience.

The Fellowship Hall will be set up with the social distancing guidelines in place. The restrooms on that level will be open.  The kitchen and adjacent educational rooms and FLC will not be open.  We do ask attenders to wear masks for the safety of all.

We will also continue to offer the virtual service and the Park Service at 9am on Sundays at Warrior’s Path Park. We strive to provide a meaningful worship experience for each and every person that wishes to join with us in worship.

BUILDINGS

*** UPDATE (5/11/20) ***

Phased Reopening of Offices and Selected Classroom Buildings:

Monday, May 18, we are excited to reopen the offices to members. Door A will be open for that purpose. We will also be resuming our Food Pantry Ministry on Tuesdays and Thursday during posted hours.

Life Bible Study Classes and Committees and Prayer Groups will be able to reserve the Conference Room, Chapel, Sanctuary, or Fellowship Hall for Bible Studies or meetings. The rooms can be reserved Monday-Friday. These rooms allow groups to meet and still practice social distancing. By reserving, we can have the requested room set up, cleaned, and ready for you. There will be limited times as we will need to sanitize between groups. To reserve time and place: please call Judy Clark at 239-5123 (100). These are the only rooms we are reopening at this phase of reopening. Only Door A will be open for those meetings and access points will be the office hallway and elevator to the ground level. Reservations are on a first come/first served basis but we are happy to open rooms that can accommodate our classes and observe social distancing.

In June, we will resume accepting Benevolence Requests for bills and rent but the date is yet to be announced. We need to do so with health safeguard practices in place for our staff.

Updates regarding our worship schedules and safety requirements  coming soon!
